Would you like some rust with that salad?

On Friday my team ordered Jason's Deli for lunch! We were proud of ourselves for making a healthy choice on a day we usually indulge in Wendy's or McDonald's or Chick-Fil-A. I ordered the nutty, mixed up salad and as I was enjoying my delicious, healthy choice I glanced upon A LARGE, RUSTY PIECE OF METAL. No joke.

I flipped out and called them. They sent me another salad right away which I inspected very carefully before enjoying. Moral of the story: rust is not a good topping for salads.

Clarification

For those to need to know....It was I (Holly) who ran into the glass revolving door in Vegas. And, Rhonda, even though it wasn't Vince it was still funny and sh*t....pee your pants in the hotel lobby funny...I am laughing pretty hard thinking about it now! Ahhhh, good times! When can I go back?

And we're back....

OK, that was a long hiatus from the blog. I think I lost some fans (Rhonda)! Here are some things we have been busy doing:

1) Most of my family came and celebrated Christmas and New Years with us (including Vince's parents!!!) Highlights include: swimming, Medieval Times with a bonus trip to the ER where we learned that Creigh is allergic to horses, talent show, stocking gift exchange, and laughing a lot.

2) Vince and I just got back from Vegas! I learned how to play blackjack and gave all my money to Wheel of Fortune. Vince went for a Chiropractic conference...I have to tag along because it's too sad to stay home and miss the fun! Highlights include: running into glass doors and being nicknamed Berti, Buffet breakfast, dancing to Earl and his band, sleeping in and finishing the 3rd book in the Twilight series (yes, I am totally addicted!!...yes, I know it's for teenagers...I don't care and you wouldn't either if you read the first one).

3) We recently got a surprise garage makeover courtesy of my mom and dad (aka the garage angels). It's pretty much amazing!! I am sure we will be motivated to keep it clean for quite some time! Thanks mom and dad!!!

4) I had a birthday!!! I am 28...I think...yup...28! Vince got me the entire Sex and the City series and I can't wait till summer when I can watch it non-stop!!! I also ate the BEST CAKE EVER!! It's from The Cake Stand in McKinney. Holy COW!!

5) We celebrated our anniversary. We have been married for 3 years now. Time flies when you are having fun!! We went to a cool little sushi restaurant and discovered bubbly Saki!!

That is all I can think of right now...stay tuned for more. Rhonda, I promise I won't keep you waiting that long again.

Oh...P.S. We are down to 3 cats again!! Let's see how long that lasts!!

Christmas and Kitties

It's always an adventure in our house and Christmas time is no different. From kittens climbing the Christmas tree to chasing their tails around the advent tree on the dining room table. There is lots to laugh at and be thankful for. Here are some pics of our funny four-legged friends.

Naps are better with a buddy

This present is for Amie (Holly's Mom)

Lainey's carseat looked like a good place to take a break

Yup, the cats sit in the Christmas tree! We might need to anchor it to the wall.

Storm Door

I think that's what it's called. Whatever it is, we are having it installed right now at 7:30am. It's the glass door that goes in front of your regular door. I am so excited. It will let more light in...the cats will love looking out of it...it's gonna be cool. I'm gonna be cool like Rhonda who has one. What I like the most is that it is 7:30 on a Tuesday and I am still in my PJ's watching the morning news and siping coffee....I could get used to this :)
