Update on Bogus

Well, it will be officially hard to take Bogus back to the shelter, but I AM going to do it! He and poopy are best of friends. They are playing and snuggling together all the time. Poopy can hardly wait until we let Bogus out of the closet in the morning. April and her sister Aubrey were here this weekend and it was heaven. I miss the stuffin' out of April and so good to hug her neck. I will get some pics of that soon.

Bogus

Today was the first day of volunteering at Operation Kindness, the no-kill shelter of Dallas. We decided that we wanted to be a foster family in addition to volunteering on site. So, today we got a 5 week old kitten named Bogus who will be staying with us for 3 weeks until he is old enough to be adopted. He is just about the funniest little guy! He fits in the palm of my hand and chases his own tail. Foxy thinks he is the greatest thing since sliced bread!

YUCK!

I was sitting on the couch opening my mail when I heard this howling coming from outside. I remembered that Big Kitty was outside. I rushed to the door thinking that she was hurt or fighting off some big creature! Nope....my Big Kitty was just eating a gecko (or lizard)...I am not sure, all that is left was the still wiggling tail. YUCK!!! The howling must have been her "call of triumph".

Slow, Simple and...Wonderful!

Ever since we got back from our VERY exciting trip...the blog has been greatly neglected. I just don't know what to write about. Life is simple back home. We get up bright and early, shower and have breakfast and head into work. I, of course, enjoy my 2 minute commute where, once there, I inspire and engage kids in active learning! Vince has a longer commute where, once at his destination, he pops, cracks and rubs pain out of people's bodies. After a long day of work, we both arrive home. Dinner is made and eaten, TV shows are watched and enjoyed and finally we succumb to sleep. Only to wake and do the same thing the next day. To be completely honest, I like this "normality." Soon things will begin to pick up for us. My BFF April is coming to visit in February and I can hardly stand it. Vince leaves for Vegas next week for the annual Parker Seminars. He is especially excited to attend this year as a alumni board member. He will be able to rub shoulders with some very successful doctors in his field at some exclusive events. I am so continually proud of him!! So, in conclusion, I am sorry that the blog and been a let down recently...but life is slow, simple and wonderful right now!!
