JACKPOT!!

Look what I found in one of my neighbors garbage piles today!! Now I know how some people must have felt when they found our old vacuum, our old dining room table and various other pieces of "junk" in our garbage pile. One man's junk is another man's treasure!! I am so excited. I thoroughly sanitized it and can't wait to put some candy in it. Don't worry, we have a pile of pennies for you if you come over and want a handful of M&M's or Reese's Pieces. Yahoo! It made my day!

BFF QT

I just got back from spending some quality time with my BFF April in California. Here are some things we did.

1) Attended the weekly high school youth group.

2) Woke up early and went "hiking." We couldn't find the trail and there was an abundance of poison oak, so we opted out!

3) Hung out with her sisters, Amber and Aubrey and Amber's Precious kiddos, Ella and Emma. Here is April and Ella...

3) Went to a HUGE outlet mall!! Coach, Lucky Jeans, etc...

4) Stayed at a scrapbooking retreat thing all weekend and scrapbooked a total of 29 hours. (When I say 29 hours, I mean we added up the time we spent sitting at the workstation scrapbooking, and it was 29 hours!!!) I think we slept about 8 hours total. It was SOOOO much fun! This lady had everything you would ever want or need for scrapbooking, making cards, gift boxes...the possibilities were endless. She made all our food, we watched countless chick flicks and laughed till we were blue in the face! I want to go back ASAP!

Michigan

Vince and I just got back from a nice trip to Michigan. I didn't take as many pictures as I should have...but here are some things we did:

1) We spent a few days in Rockford (just outside of Grand Rapids) with Vince's older brother, Joel, and his family. Katy, Julia, Grace, Caroline and their animals (a funny dog and two cute guinea pigs). We played in their awesome backyard, went to the Grand Rapids zoo, had a wonderful "adults only" dinner with Joel and Katy, played with the Guinea Pigs, got ice cream, and just had lots of fun in general!!

2) Went to Holland to see the changes to Hope's campus (where we went to college). We had lunch with our friend Jessica Oosting at Good Earth. We found our brick in front of the new Devos Field House...which rocked our faces off! Vince was really wishing they had that when we went to school there. We ran into Vince's old football friend, who works at the field house, so he gave us a nice tour. Next, we had dinner with a wonderful family, the Westenbrooke's, who welcomed us into their home and cooked us a lovely dinner. Thank you! Finally, we met up with my old roomie, Anne, and her husband Brian at The Brewery (a place with many fun memories)for some drinks. It was soooo good to catch up with her and I realized how much I miss spending time with them. Love you guys!!

3) We went to Down River (Gibralter) and celebrated Vince's cousin's graduation. It was so nice to see everyone and spend time with Vince's family. Congrats Michael on graduating and best of luck with college and beyond. We indulged in some great "Duncil Food" and enjoyed the afternoon.

11. Stray cats will not be permitted to, jump up on or sharpen claws on the really good furniture.
12. Stray cats will be permitted on all furniture, but must sharpen claws on new sisal-rope cat-scratching post with three perches.
13. Stray cats will answer the call of nature outdoors in the sand.
14. Stray cats will answer the call of nature in the three-piece, high-impact plastic tray filled with Fresh’n’Sweet kitty litter.
15. Stray cats will answer the call of nature in the hooded litter pan, with a three-panel privacy screen and plenty of head room.
16. Stray cats will sleep outside.
17. Stray cats will sleep in the garage.
18. Stray cats will sleep in the house.
19. Stray cats will sleep in a cardboard box lined with an old blanket.
20. Stray cats will sleep in the special Kitty-Komfort-Bed with non-allergenic lambs wool pillow.
21. Stray cats will not be allowed to sleep in our bed.
22. Stray cats will not be allowed to sleep in our bed, except at the foot.
23. Stray cats will not be allowed to sleep in our bed under the covers.
24. Stray cats will not be allowed to sleep in our bed under the covers, except at the foot.
25. Stray cats will not play on the desk.
26. Stray cats will not play on the desk, near the computer.
27. Stray cats are forbidden to walk on the computer keyboard on the desk, when the human is asdfjjhhkl;ljfd.;oier’puyykmm4hb.

Baby Declan and Foxy's Road Trip

This past weekend Vince and I drove to Arkansas to meet our new nephew Declan. He is so tiny and cute. It was also good to see Keith, Crystal, Zach, Andrew and Brooke. We took Foxy. This was the first time she drove a long distance in the car with us. As is evidenced in the pictures, she was just fine! A true road-trip dog!
